Areola Tattooing
Areola tattooing is an ideal procedure for women who have undergone mastectomies, other breast surgeries, implants, or irregular or fading nipples and/or areolas. Lauren’s paramedical breast restoration procedures are nothing short of a medical miracle, allowing women to regain confidence and femininity. Lauren performs a three dimensional technique to ensure the best, most realistic results. More than one procedure may be necessary to receive optimum results. Color-boosts may also be necessary in the future as natural fading occurs.

What to Expect
The Procedure:
Forms will be filled out upon arrival
Color and design will be chosen during consultation, privately
Breasts will be numbed with lidocaine cream for 20 minutes before beginning. If pain is still intense even after numbing cream, Dr. Collini can numb you with needle injection numbing for a much more comfortable experience (this will be an extra $100.00 charge).
Colors chosen by LC and the client will then be tattooed into skin
3-6+ passes are necessary before desired result
What to expect immediately after and during the healing process?
The areola tattoo process naturally brings blood to the surface of the areola and/or scars. This makes the initial aftermath look extremely intense, red, bloody, and “gnarly-looking.” The areolas will be kept covered with gauze pads and healing ointment, which will be changed daily. After about 3-5 days, the entire area of areola tattooing will “slough-off” and you will be left with a much softer, natural result. Color may continue to change/emerge over the next 4-6 weeks. Touch up sessions are likely needed thereafter; but color-boosts are rare because the areola tattoos are rarely exposed to the direct sun.
